Manado, June 13, 2025 – The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sulawesi Province held a Social Statistics Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) activity which was carried out in the BPS Hall of North Sulawesi Province. This activity was attended by representatives of all BPS Regencies/Cities throughout North Sulawesi, with the aim of evaluating the implementation of various surveys in the scope of social statistics.
From the BPS of Talaud Islands Regency, this activity was attended by Gilang Cahya Permadi, Sofian Ramdani, and Demsi Andalangi as the Social Statistics team, Yohanes Adinata as Head of the General Sub-Division, and Mrs. Indira Anastasia Lolowang, SE., M.M as Head of BPS of Talaud Islands Regency.
The activity was officially opened by Mrs. Sirly Catharina Worotikan, SE, M.Si, as an Associate Expert Statistician of BPS of North Sulawesi Province. In her remarks, she conveyed the importance of synergy and consistency in the implementation of social statistics activities in order to produce quality and timely data.
In this activity, the Social Statistics Team of the BPS of North Sulawesi Province conveyed the progress of the implementation of various ongoing surveys, including the 2025 Inter-Census Population Survey (SUPAS), 2025 Village Potential Data Collection (Podes), Political and Security Statistics Survey (Statpolkam), MBG Survey, and People's School Survey. In addition to conveying the progress of each activity, the team also conducted an evaluation of the implementation of surveys that had been and were currently running in the field. This evaluation includes aspects of timeliness, data quality, and challenges and obstacles faced by officers and management teams in the regions.
Through this activity, it is hoped that all BPS work units in North Sulawesi can align the implementation of social statistics activities more effectively and efficiently, and improve coordination between regions in order to achieve optimal results in the implementation of national official statistics.
