Audience of the Head of BPS Talaud to the Head of BPPRD regarding sectoral statistical data

Melonguane, May 26, 2025 – Head of BPS Talaud Islands Regency Indira Anastasia Lolowang visited BPPRD in order to have an audience with the Head of BPPRD, Jack Parapaga. The Head of BPS Talaud was received directly by the Head of BPPRD in his office, this audience aims to strengthen sectoral statistics at BPPRD
Discussion Focus: Problems and Solutions for Data Updates
In the discussion that lasted approximately 2 hours, several main problems related to tax data were revealed:
1. Unupdated SPPT Data: Data inconsistencies with current conditions due to sales and purchase transactions, renovations, and new construction.
2. Land Data Lag: Empty land that has been built on has not been recorded in the tax system.
3. Limited Role of Villages: Lack of village proactivity in updating land/building ownership data.
Strategic Steps for Data Improvement
As a solution, discussion participants formulated a number of strategic steps:
• Cross-Agency Collaboration: several agencies must synergize for data integration.
• Utilization of Technology: Visual verification of buildings through Google Maps for data accuracy.
• Determination of Key Variables: Area and type of building, land ownership status, and area specifications and so on.
• Creation of MOU/PKS: Formal agreement between agencies to strengthen the data collection system.
Indira emphasized, “Specific and integrated data is the key to determining fair tax policies. Collaboration with other agencies will accelerate the resolution of this problem.”
