May 26, 2025 Bapelitbang Talaud successfully held the One Data Indonesia Forum, this activity was opened by the Head of Bapelitbang Talaud Regency, Spen Bawangun, in his speech Spen said that the implementation of the One Data Indonesia Forum in Talaud was a mandate from the Regent Regulation Number 4 of 2024, the activity which was attended by the Secretaries of OPD and the Head of the Planning Sub-Division aimed to discuss the Talaud Regency Government Data List.
The Head of BPS Talaud Islands Regency was invited to be a resource person, the material presented was given the theme "Optimization of Sectoral Data Management Towards Accurate and Quality Statistical Publication (OPTIKAL)". This activity is part of the implementation of the One Data Indonesia (SDI) policy to support integrated data governance at the regional level.
Implementation of One Data Indonesia and Achievements of EPSS 2024
In her presentation, Indira Anastasia Lolowang, Head of BPS Talaud Islands Regency, emphasized the importance of collaboration between agencies to ensure accurate data as a basis for development planning. "Integrated and transparent data is the key to optimizing resource allocation and improving the quality of public services," she said.
This forum reviewed the results of the 2024 Sectoral Statistics Implementation Evaluation (EPSS), where Talaud Regency achieved a Statistical Development Index (IPS) of 2.76 (Good category). The main recommendations of EPSS include:
• Strengthening the One Data Forum as a forum for coordinating the identification of needs to data dissemination.
• Improving HR competency by adding Statistician Functionals and Computer Administrators.
• Optimizing the One Data Portal for open information access.
OPTIKAL Strategy: Quality Data Publication for Transparency and Investment
The OPTIKAL program is designed to improve the quality of sectoral statistical publications in accordance with SDI principles. Several strategic steps that will be implemented include:
1. Integrated Data Management: Integration of statistical data
2. Publication: Presentation of data through books, booklets, infographics, interactive dashboards, and social media (@bps_talaud).
3. Public Involvement: The public can access open data to support participation in development and prevent misinformation.
"Data publication is not only for transparency, but also to attract investors. For example, fisheries potential data can encourage the development of Fish Auction Places," explained Indira.
Follow-up and Collaboration
The forum produced the following recommendations for follow-up:
• Cross-Agency Coordination: The One Data Forum will be facilitated by Bappeda as the leading sector.
• HR Training: Needs analysis and technical training for data officers will be implemented immediately.
• Regular Monitoring: Evaluation through EPSS will be conducted routinely to ensure improvement of IPS.
